Spring Fundraiser: april 22, 2026

Annual Book and Author Luncheon

Author Christina Hillsberg will discuss her book, Agents of Change: The Women Who Transformed the CIA, which includes her exclusive interviews with current and former female CIA officers who have never spoken publicly about their stories set against the backdrop of the women's movement of the 1960's.


Christina is a former CIA intelligence officer and writer. She has been an analyst for the White House as well as an Operations Officer, clandestinely collecting intelligence from the field. She has had a successful and impactful career at the CIA. 


Please join us to hear this fabulous speaker, shop the latest fashion boutiques, enjoy a scrumptious lunch, and purchase a surprise gift bag.

10:00 am Gather in the library’s BNC tribute area to start the tour

We will visit the MakerLab, Automation Lab, and Digital Scholarship Lab, all of which are located in the library. Engineering students and faculty will give demonstrations of technology and talk about their research projects and how BNC fundraising has made their work possible.


11:30-12:00 Lunch and board meeting in Sherman DIning Hall (about a ten-minute walk downhill from the library). Buffet lunch is $18.50 (this is the only option) and includes kosher, gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. You may also bring your own lunch if you prefer.


PARKING: Due to limited parking, if possible, carpool to the Brandeis parking lot, or you can meet up at 51 Sawyer Road and carpool from there.

Barnes Foundation Virtual Tour

Friday, February 20th, 2026 - 11AM on Zoom


Join a one hour, docent-led, virtual tour at the renowned Barnes Foundation of Philadelphia. We will explore "Henri Rousseau: A Painter's Secrets." We will see the hidden layers of the lush, hypnotic works of Rousseau through 60 works from the Barnes and the Musee de 'l'Orangerie in Paris. There will be Q and A at the end of the tour. Zoom link will be provided to registrants before the program.


$25 for BNC members; no limit to number of participants.

Gropius House Visit in Lincoln

Friday, March 13, 2026 - 11AM


We will visit Gropius House in Lincoln MA, an Historic New England site. This home is the family residence of the Modernist architect Walter Gropius, a founder of the Bauhaus School in Weimar, Germany. The family came to New England in 1937, forced to leave Germany because of his association with "degenerate " modernism. The home combines elements of New England architecture with elements from the Bauhaus workshop.

Worcester Art Museum Tour

Thursday April 30 - 11AM


Join us as we explore the newly reimagined galleries of the Worcester Art Museum, dedicated to its renowned collection of American art which represents a diverse range of artists, media, styles and stories. This reopening exhibit is scheduled to coincide  with the 250th anniversary of the United States. Our one hour docent led tour will be a survey of American art.
